The location was absolutely perfect. It is situated in a quiet backwater where heavy traffic is a distant memory.Very picturesque and I was in my happy place with the Thames running alongside you.Room 36 was absolutely stunning. The decor was partly wood slats and wallpaper that complimented the rustic looktoo perfection. The bedroom was more than ample in size and I could do rolly pollys on the floor. The en-suite was stylish comfortable and tastefully In keeping with the ambience of the bedroom.Tastefully decorated luxury high end brass fittings and shower fitments with large rainfall shower or smaller hand held shower if you don’t want to get your hair wet and not as ferocious. The temperature of the room was spot on. The radiators from the central heating pumped out alongside a pan electric heater as the room was a modest size.

This is one of the friendliest hotels I have ever been too. The staff are outstanding, so accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. The food is excellent, presentation and flexibility. Rooms were spacious and clean. Lovely new bathrooms have been installed. Staff work together to create a wonderful experience. The hotel is tired. Investment is slowly being put back into the place and they are putting new carpets down in hallways and stairs very soon. The hotel would have been an absolute gem in it hay day and the staff want to get it back there. If you want all singing and dancing luxury they are not there yet. However if you want a friendly experience, made to feel valued this is the place to be. I hope the locals also start using this restaurant more they won’t be disappointed.

We stayed in a modern riverview suite. The room was very spacious, with a four poster bed and freestanding bathtub and separate shower enclosure in the en-suite. The staff were very friendly and the hot breakfast was lovely. There was a good selection of cereals, juices, and toast preserves in the continental. They take dogs and allow them in the bar area for a £15 surcharge. While I understand the hotel as a whole needs updating the bar, dining area, and renovated rooms look great. It’s a great location for walks along the river - the receptionist very helpfully recommended the best routes to go, and it’s a short drive from Oxford. We would definitely stay again.

We are walking The Thames Path and this was an ideal stop, as it's very close to the path and is quite quiet, something very important when needing a good nights sleep from walking. The room was everything we needed with plenty of space, clean, good shower, good comfy bed and tea/ coffeee making facilities. We had a view of The Thames from our room and even though there was a wedding reception/ disco on, it didn't disturb us. Also had something to eat in the evening and breakfast. Both were good.

The best thing about this hotel is its stunning location next to the River Thames. We stayed in a riverview studio and enjoyed looking at the gorgeous view from the sofa in our room. The decor in the studio was slightly dated but this was not an issue for us because the room was very clean. The hotel has plenty of parking which is free if you register your vehicle at reception on arrival. The food in the restaurant was very good.
